Character traits are an important part of character essays, because your readers will see the traits in you. If your readers cannot relate to the traits they are seeing in you, how can they relate to you? That is where character traits will come in, and they are more important than you think. The traits that most people are thinking about are of the physical kind.

 

Physical characteristics are nice, but these are not what are most important in character traits essays. The traits that matter most are emotional. These are traits of character that show you how you react to problems and challenges in life. If you were a leader in high school, there would be different character traits to show you at that time, because you would have faced much more adversity than you are facing now.

 

In order to prepare for character traits, you need to first realize your strengths and weaknesses. If you have strength in character, then you have strength in the physical sense, but what about the emotional sense?
